SMT is Surface Mount Technology, also known as Surface Mount Technology, which is currently the most popular technology and process in the electronic assembly industry. It is a circuit assembly technology that installs surface mounted components (SMC/SMD, also known as chip shaped devices) without pins or short leads on the surface of printed circuit boards (PCBs) or other substrates, and assembles them by reflow soldering or immersion soldering. 1.
